In deepest sorrow, the Chamber Musicians dedicate our website to the memory of Nicholas Toller, our founder, our Chairman and Artistic Director, our much loved pianist, our inspiration and our friend, who died very tragically on 23 April 2007.

This website is already a kind of memorial to Nicholas, in that it documents all the concerts that he gave with the Chamber Musicians, and gives details of all those who took part in these concerts with him. We have also created a more personal tribute to him, in the form of a musical biography, with contributions from many of his teachers, colleagues, students and friends.

The Chamber Musicians, as an organisation, has been ‘frozen’ for just over three years while this biographical tribute was being created, but we are now active once again and are planning a series of chamber concerts that will be given in memory of Nicholas, over four days in early September 2012.

Adrian Thurley is very generously sponsoring this website, as his personal tribute to Nicholas, and the website will continue to be maintained as our memorial to him.
