In
deepest sorrow, the Chamber Musicians dedicate our website to the memory of
Nicholas Toller, our founder, our Chairman and Artistic Director, our much
loved pianist, our inspiration and our friend, who died very tragically on This website is already a kind of memorial to Nicholas, in that it documents all the concerts that he gave with the Chamber Musicians, and gives details of all those who took part in these concerts with him. We are also creating a more personal tribute, in the form of a musical biography, with contributions from many of Nicholas’s teachers, colleagues, students and friends. The Chamber Musicians,
as an organisation, has now been ‘frozen’ for an indefinite period.
After an interval we will give a final concert in memory of Nicholas, and
the charity will then be
dissolved. Adrian Thurley is very generously sponsoring this website, as his personal tribute to Nicholas, and the website will continue to be maintained as our memorial to Nicholas, after the charity is dissolved.
