Clare Davis studied Natural Sciences at Queens’ College, Cambridge specialising in Chemistry. She graduated in 2007, continuing to pursue postgraduate studies at the university. Clare started playing the violin at the age of 7 and two years later became a member of the National Children’s Orchestra, with whom she continued to play for five years. After this period she moved her focus to chamber music, attending Pro Corda national chamber music courses for five years and being a finalist three times in the National Schools Chamber Music competition. As an undergraduate at Cambridge she held a Cambridge University Instrumental Award and was a member of an award-holders’ string quartet. Clare played in the Cambridge University Chamber Orchestra and in her third year was leader of the MagSoc Orchestra (the orchestra of the St Margaret’s Society, the Queens’ College Music Society). Clare also gained a Diploma of the ABRSM in the piano. Aside from music, Clare won a Cambridge Lacrosse Blue and earlier was a member of the U19 England lacrosse squad. [We believe that, since 2009, Clare has been a Senior Associate Consultant at Bain and Company, a global firm of management consultants.]
