Heather Moseley began to learn cello at the age of six with Miriam Roycroft and is currently studying with Josephine Knight. Heather has nearly completed her second year reading music at Caius College Cambridge. As a holder of an Intercollegiate Instrumental Award, she is involved in much university music-making. She became a member of the National Youth Orchestra in 2003 and was also a member of Pro Corda, the national school for young chamber musicians. Heather played with Leeds Youth Orchestra for many years and performed the Saint-saens Cello Concerto No. 1 with the Orchestra last year. She has given numerous duo recitals with Russell Lomas and with her brother, Rowland, and was a regional finalist in the last BBC Young Musician of the Year competition.
