John Cronin, originally from Yorkshire, has been based in Cambridgeshire for the past thirty years, enjoying playing the horn in all the local orchestras at some time. He taught for over twenty years at Hinchingbrooke School in Huntingdon and since taking early retirement has been earning his living in the antiques business. In recent years he has concentrated mostly on playing chamber music and is a founding member of Cambridge Camerata.
